Dev Deepawali, often called the “Diwali of the Gods,” is one of the most magical and visually stunning festivals celebrated in Banaras. Devotees believe that on this night, the gods themselves descend to Earth to bathe in the sacred Ganga. The evening begins with grand Ganga Aarti ceremonies at the main ghats, followed by lamp-lighting rituals performed by thousands of volunteers, pilgrims, and locals.
